In a crowded play-off Swedens Sebastian Soderburg against four other golfers won his maiden title on the European Tour in Switzerland. His fellow competitors were Lorenzo Gagli from Italy, Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland, Andreas Romero from Argentina and Kalle Samooja from Finland. Sebastian Soderburg moved to 287th place in the World Rankings and 47th position in the Race to Dubai.

Irish golfer Shane Lowry added another Tour win in Abu Dubai by finishing with a one stroke advantage. In second place was South African Richard Sterne with Joost Luiton in third position. With this victory Shane Lowrys wins on the Tour came to four, his World Ranking moved to 41st, and has taken the lead in this years Race to Dubai.
